Tree climbing and climbing camp
Marquette Climbing is in the building phases of a Climbing focused campground and retreat!
Season one of development(2025) yielded road infrastructure, trail systems, rough campsite prep, route development, and tree trimming to name a few projects!
In 2026 we will be completing parking, 7 rustic sites and a event area the will also serve as the backdrop to our developing online instructional tree climbing content and product reviews.

Cougar Bear Bouldering Area
550 Bouldering Classic film fundraiser
Marquette is home to an impressive number of bouldering routes thanks to the considerable concentration of bouldering stretching between Little Presque Isle and Sugarloaf Mtn. This stretch of lakeshore is the perfect venue for the first 550 bouldering classic competition!
Taking this idea off the page and into the real world will take a coordinated effort that still needs work in the logistical realm!
Raised funds will go to hiring additional help in producing and Editing the U.P. climbing film! Our goal in creating this event is, first and foremost to bring climbers together for a friendly competition and to provide a lasting memory of our spectacular area!
We also hope to bring awareness to the film project in the early stages and find inspiration and support from the climbing community of the Midwest!
